　　创作和演唱实力兼具的R&B歌手Frankie J1980年11月14日出生于墨西哥，成长于美国San Diego市。自小在音乐的耳濡目染氛围中长大，最早接触的多为以墨西哥传统民俗音乐和墨西哥舞曲为主的拉丁音乐，当然他钟爱的歌手也包括Michael Jackson、Run-DMC、Stevie Wonder和Brian McKnight。

　　15岁时，他被加拿大独立舞曲厂牌挖掘，以拉丁Freestyle歌手推出数张轰动舞池的单曲，97年被舞曲界金牌制作人Jellybean Benitez赏识，却未能顺利发行专辑。1999年，他转而加入一支德州乐团Los Kumbia King担任主唱与创作。在乐团历经了3年多的巡演和创作磨炼后，一直有单飞抱负的他于2003年发行了首张R&B风格的专辑What's A Man To Do，专辑中以自身恋情经验为题创作出深切刺痛男人心的分手恋歌Don't Wanna Try，迅速获得排行榜的青睐而爆红乐坛.

　　之前发了他的一张2006年西班牙语CD,下的人很多,看来Frankie无论用什么语言演唱都会惹来一大批歌迷为他捧场.这张同名西班牙语专辑几乎是what's a man to do的西班牙语版,很多歌曲都采用原歌重新填词的方式演绎,别有一番味道!唯一区别是少了那些"铁哥们"(Baby Bash)献声合唱.更增添了原声态的纯美质感,把Frankie的深情嗓音展现的淋漓尽致!
