[专辑]Martina McBride -- I Just Call You Mine

Intro： Martina McBride成名于90年代后期。以传统唱法出道，后跨越到更加流行与亲和的曲风范畴。她1966年出生于美国堪萨斯州。并随父亲学习了乡村音乐，他父亲是当地乐队Schifters的成员。在她十三到十九岁的时候，她跟着父亲的乐队演唱并弹奏键盘。高中毕业后，她和不同的乐队乘着马车跑遍堪萨斯州。她与John McBride结婚并于1990年移居纳什维尔州，在那里John McBride为如Charlie Daniels and Ricky Van Shelton这样的艺术家工作。不久 Martina，作为试唱，演唱了许多她丈夫提供给她的样本唱片。这使得她在1991年被美国无线电公司签约。与此同时John McBride被聘为Garth Brooks的产品经理，这帮助Martina能够跟着Brooks进行巡回演出。她的首张专辑The Time Has Come发行于1992年,涵盖了一系列与传统honky tonk相背的，超前进步理念的乡村民谣。紧接着，1993的The Way That I Am是她在商业上的突破。主打单曲My Baby Loves Me在乡村歌曲排名中一下窜升到第二的位置上。感人至深的叙事歌曲Independence Day成为标志性歌曲，另一首单曲Life #9也达到了前十的排名。
